Proposition

This is a belief, claim, or proposed course of action to which the Support lends validity. Normally it is expressed as a Finite Clause Complement: The fact that you lied to me shows that I shouldn't trust you. Some words in this frame require the proposition to be expressed as an NP Object: The fact that you lied substantiates the claim that you can't be trusted.
